Hello Everyone,

My name is Dave Michaels and I am the affiliate manager at USAFlorist.com. We have just started up a new program with Commission Junction. We are offering a 20% commission on sales. Our average sale price is $55.

Heres a Link to Our Program:

After that shameless plug I actually have a question, We are new to the affiliate marketing game and I was wondering what really attracts affiliates, a plain, flat, fat commission, or a more involved program with performance incentives etc?

Thanks-

Dave

Hi there Dave,

Welcome to WebProWorld and thanks for sharing your program with us!

IMHO tiered structures are good for motivating top affiliates to join. As long as your base is competitive - giving top affs something to stretch for is best.

That's from me, a consultant. How about some comments from affiliates for Dave?

Of course a good % payout is desirable but also I look at a good tracking method. I like to know whats going on as well. If the people I am sending to you are not buying your product and just browsing, maybe I need to adjust my marketing to receive a better response for both of us.
The length of the cookie is a factor as well. longer the better.
