Default Fellow ClickBank affiliates ...

... I'd like your opinions/experiences regarding ClickBank's reliability, since their now famous 'first there is a hoplink, then there is no hoplink ... then there is' fiasco.

I, for one, have noticed a MAJOR decrease in ClickBank affiliate sales ..:(

And as I have no problem cloaking, redirecting, or using metarefresh for any other affiliate program ... I honestly don't want to hear about 'the rules', again.

I, for one, can't see how a business so dependant on it's affiliates can be so unreliable and inconsistant.

But that's my opinion ... what's yours?

Regards,

Mike 'Disatisfied ClickBank affiliate' Merz

Default About the New Clickbank Changes

Mike,

I have also noticed a sharp drop in commissions.

How are cloaking your links?

To be legal, hoplinks must be targeted to the top
level of a new or existing window.

If you are hiding the true url using javascript frame
or Iframe, you will not get credit for the sale.

Hoplinks targeted to invisible objects (like images)
now give you no referral credit and in some cases
will also prevent referral credit for other hoplinks
on that page.

I have had to changes hundreds of cloaked links
to targeted new windows and I have seen some sales
come back. I miss the old system

Default Re Clickbank.

I have been using clickbank for years and found them very reliable.

As for sales droping off I have not seen this personally and I have had more in the last couple of months than ever before so maybe it is your market or marketing stratagy.

Sorry you feel so disatisfied. Maybe you should look for a different system.

Quentin
