Default Online sales up 46% + avg order size + most popular

Post-Thanksgiving online sales on Visa cards rise 46% - Avg online order size $62.95
http://www.internetretailer.com/dailyNews.asp?id=10751

Online sales grew 36% on Black Friday, 31% for entire week. http://www.internetretailer.com/dailyNews.asp?id=10747

The strongest online sales categories were Computer Software, Movies & Video, Music, and Video Games, which posted growth of 50-100% versus year-ago levels. Home & Garden, which has been performing well above average for much of this year, was up more than 60% last week. Sales at Apparel & Accessories, Consumer Electronics, and Toys retailers increased within a few percentage points of the online retail average, comScore reports.

Looks like it will be a great online shopping season. What do you think?

I read those articles and all signs point to a great holiday season for online sales.

Many of my clients saw a good peak in sales over the past few days including one that double their orders over the weekend, without special marketing. Seems pretty good to me? :)

Best of luck to all the internet merchants out there and Happy Holidays!

Default Personal experience

I would agree with all ya,ll.

I have not been online that long, Only about 6 months now.

I noticed a large boost in sales the last 3 days.

I think alot of consumers are deciding to shop online and skip the "Wal-mart blitz"

I went to wal-mart the day after thanksgiving. Walked in the door got pushed and shoved right away,
Turned around and left.

I agree that holiday sales will soar this year.

Call me over tech'd, yes I made that one up :), but I am not really sure why anyone whould shop in the stores anyway? Many of the bigger merchants offer free shipping and gift wrapping and with a few clicks your done. No more searching cluttered shelves or waiting in lines.

I think this year with the economy in a much better place then last year, online shopping is just going to extremely well.

Happy Holidays,
