I am from India, which affiliate can I join

Someone suggested me www.linkshare.com to join. Can anyone throw some light on it. Actually a lot of companies esp US ones don't take affiliates from india.

Hi smm,

Whether to exclude certain countries is typically a merchant decision. Many merchants do filter out certain countries, which does not really make much sense to me.
Try linkshare and CJ.com. You may need to try a bunch of merchants to see which ones will let you in.

Thanks for the advice but it seems Indian Companies are still not advertising much like US companies. Reason is that internet connectivity and use is still very poor in India but it is multiplying like anything.
In next two years this would be the hottest market for affiliates. I am still looking to start such a thing which will be of use to Indian surfers as most of us still do not know much of these opportunities.

I think linkshare.com and cj.com also had more for US markets.

Anything else you come across, please let me know, esp keeping Indian audience in mind.

Our affiliate program accepts members from around the world. All you need is the ability to drive traffic to the site. Obviously we monitor all affiliates for fraud, so that is not really an issue. The simple fact that you are posting here tells me that you are on the level and would be a great affiliate for whatever program you choose to join. Including ours.

Thanks, but I am looking for something which gives something to the person who clicks on the ad. If he is taken to a US site or Europe etc, then the visitors from India would never be buying those things and it will be of no use. I recently came across sites like adbrite.com which says you put advertisement on your site and you get per week an amount. What do you say.

Western Union is an option as Indian Expats in the USA do use Western Union to transfer Money home, it's not ideal for Indians in India due to the online system only allowing for US credit cards, but Expats in the USA will have credit cards they can use.
