Default Looking for Affiliates for Outdoor Recreation

We are having a hard time finding related affiliates for our site. It is a Rockhounding site, about gems and minerals and the pursuit of the same).
We would like to tie into some affiliates that offer Hunting ,Fishing and Camping equipment and related items.
If anyone has any tips or links it would be greatly appreciated. Ron

Default Help a beginner please

I know it's a mundane and simple question for those of you who know how, but I don't, therefor it's complicated.
I need some referrals to find the right affiliates for my site. It may be new and has low traffic, but didn't we all start that way?
Looking forward to some leads, thanks, Ron

Sorry Ron, but I'm not clear after looking at your site. Are you looking to START an affiliate program and you want affiliates to sell your products OR are you looking for outdoor related affiliate programs you can JOIN so you can sell their products?

Default We want to earn money through others

Catalyst,
Sorry I wasn't clear on my question. We are looking to add affiliates to our site that earn us money.
Obviously we don't have a lot of items to sell ourselves at this time.
We get some traffic from people who are interested in Hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and travel.
Affiliate programs that have related items in those fields would be desirable. Thanks, Ron

That's what I thought but was not sure.

Back Country Store www.backcountrystore.com and Bass Pro Shops www.basspro.com are the 1st 2 that come to mind. Start with those and let us know how you do.

Thanks, that will be a good start. We did apply to National Geographic and since my last post got a thumbs up from them. So we are now heading in the right direction.

Had to smile when I read that. Small world in spite of the vastness of the web. Congratulations Linda.

Hi, I did find out that we already have 'backcountry store. My wife had taken the ad off as we were re-designing the site, thanks for the info anyway.
We are now going to put together a completely new shopping page with selected items from our affiliates that match our site vistor's interests.
over the weekend we did a complete makeover on the site's look. We think it's much better now, what do you think? thanks, Ron
