hi,
i'm new to the forum. i thought i would like to share a good affiliate program i found on the web. It is based on The Secret by Oprah Winfrey and Larry King talkshow.
Its good stuff and the ebook is highly recommended for those who want to turbo-charge their law of attraction.

Hello all ive been trying at affiliate marketing for a couple months now and havent really found anything that works. I first signed up with commission juntion but didnt make any commissions. After doing this for about 3 months i got discouraged and went to mlm and learnt how to build a mediocre website and took a crack at the "send $5 to these 5 people on the list" thing which was a total waste of time and energy. Im back to square one basically with Affiliate Marketing but i want to learn how to do it right instead of just jumping in. If anybody out there can make any suggestions to what programs are legit and have good payment plans please let me know. I am soooo willing to learn this industry and invest alot of my time into this. If i could eat, sleep, and breath this stuff i would but it gets discouraging when you try something and it doesnt work no matter how hard you work at it. So if anyone can tell me how they first got started i would be happy. Im not looking for hand-outs, i expect to pay my dues.

Hi Indoman,
There are thousands of affiliate programs online and some are good and some aren't. One thing to note is that an affiliate program isn't good just because they offer you a lot of money. Their conversion rate may be terrible so you won't ever get that promised 'big commission'.
I'm a big believer in residual commissions. They don't promise you a huge commission for getting them a lead but rather they pay you month after month for every sale or membership someone signs up for. This way your commissions just keep growing and growing.
Something to think about. Good luck.

I have had great success with Mark Warrens Ultimate
Wealth Package thus far. Like any business venture
out there be prepared to spend some money. If you
follow what Mark says, you will make money. But like
I said, and it bears repeating, be prepared to spend
some money to make money.

Have great SEO work done on your site, this will help boost you’re ranking in the natural searches and most recent studies show that 60% of traffic comes from natural search (see, Fake Steve Jobs: Have You Heard Of oPtion$? | WebProNews) for reference.
Add Google AdSense to your site, this will help you get crawled that much faster (that part of course is arguable, but it worked for me, after adding it to my site I had double my pages indexed in less then a week). And because if the product you are offering does not appeal to you visitor one of the words in your AdSense program might, and you get paid when they click on it so it wasn’t a total waste of a visitor, plus you gave them another reference to help them find what they need, which is always a plus. You may even want to add a search bar to your site from another affiliate that pays you when searches are done through your site. There are many ways to make a program work for you, make sure you do all your research and have designed your site for maximum performance for your end users and of course for your revenue.

Because of my huge site I also like to use the search engine google offers. It has ppc sites on top and bottom and my own site in the middle. Be sure to set the default search to your site and not the www.

Re: Finding the right Affiliate Program - Getting Started
I run around thirty affiliate based web sites and have come to the conclusion the shareasale.com pays the best commission returns. My most successful sites promote and sell stripper clothes, Asian apparel or furniture. I get a ton of sales through LinkShare but the commission structure pays next to nothing. CJ sucks as well with poor returns. I have also found that the highest sales come from vendors who supply the ability to track links to a particular product rather than just a banner. My stripper Clothes site is getting 200,000 hits per month now with a 3/10 Google page rank. The stripper clothes name is just a gimmick to provide lingerie and other accessories but I get regular emails requesting that I advertise their product line. My first question is always “can I get credit for actual product links or do you provide just banners?”
One thing is to stand clear of the radio and TV ads that provide software to “make money selling products you don’t have to touch, store or pay for over the Internet”. These companies make money from suckers who sign up for their service. Affiliate programs are free; if they want money walk away.
RE: Getting started...
Once you are up and running try marketing for free at first through free classified ads like Craigslist and Topix by listing your product with a return address to your site. Also submit your site to search enginges once a month through sites like submitexpress.com and hook up with a good banner exchange program. Once your site starts producing regular sales use that money to set up a Google Adwords campaign where a minimum of $50 per month is needed.
Good luck,

Re: Finding the right Affiliate Program - Getting Started
CLickbank is very easy to sign-up and follow, also there are a lot of high quality products there to promote.
But it doesnt work in all countries. ANd it is easy to lose your affiliate checks to others.
CJ. com works in all countries and has phisycal products too, but very frustrating to sign -up and to track your results
Paydot.com is relatively new project, but I dont like it.
