Default DatingTech network - hints?

Hi everyone, my first post so apologies if this ground has been covered. I'm an affiliate of the DatingTech network, a dating website program which provides your website for you - you just buy a domain (mine is http://introducing.me.uk/ ) and point it at their nameservers. You get to change a few things, mainly just META keywords, META description and TITLE tags. Question - what's the best way to promote a site like this, when you have limited scope to edit the site? Does anyone have experience of this program? I've made a little beer money so far .....

Any clues appreciated!

Phil

Hi Phil,

Here's my idea (not really mine.)

Start another website on dating. Write an article per day 5 days a week for 3 months. That's about 65 articles. Post the articles on your website. And submit them to the search engines. As you go along spend about an hour a day studying natural Search Engine Marketing and apply what you learn as you go along.

In the articles you can make mention of such and such dating site with your link to your affiliate program. And you can have it as a tag line.

The articles don't have to be long. No more than one typed page double spaced. Your advice doesn't even have to be good. Although that would help. Just do it consistantly and you will soon have people coming back to your site daily just to see what crazy dating idea you came up with.

Once you have some good traffic going, there will be lots of affiliate programs that will make you money.

Thanks John, that's pretty much the sort of idea I was coming up with, and I think that's the way I'll go.

I also wondered whether posts to relevant forums (forae?) would have any significant positive effects due to linkbacks (as well as traffic)? Or are these ignored by the search engines?

Yes posts to forums are a good idea. Make sure to put your links in your signature.
