Default Any questions

Hi everyone,
I'm writing an ebook on how to get started in affiliate marketing.

I want to know if anyone has any questions about it, any at all?

I want to make it the most useful affiliate marketing guide available.

It's not abou starting an affiliate program, but getting started in promoting other peoples products through an affiliate program.

Any questions at all will be helpful.

Default Simple....traffic

Making money as an affiliate is less about how to be an affiliate or whose affiliate you are. It's more about what your site is all about and how successful you are in generating traffic.

Stephen-

I have a couple:

1) How to tell the really good programs from the ones that are poor.

2) What type of "niche" program should you pursue.

3) Should you focus on multiple programs or concentrate on a few select ones

4) Are ebooks a good way to make an affiliate income.

Hope these questions help you...

Default Great questions

Hi,
Great questions mizambar. Some of those I have already answered and some I have only partially answered.

But thanks that really helps.

And jmeth, I know that it's more about what your site is about and how you use it, that's already included in my book. But thanks for the input.

Has anyone else got any questions?

If not, what do you think other people would struggle with, hat do you think other peoples quetsuions woul be, like newbies or people just getting started etc.

I think the most common newbie questions are "What do I promote?" and/or "Which products are profitable?"

While it's not, IMO, feasible to answer those questions with concrete examples, teaching people to do their own research would be the greatest lesson(s) you could provide.

Default More suggestions please

Hi,
Thanks Cedric. Thats a great idea. Like "teach a man to fish and he will feed himself for a life time".

Mizambar, can you describe what you mean by good and poor programs. Like tell me which elements of a program you would like to learn about which you want to be good or bad and how?

What do you mean by "what type of niche program"

And by ebook, do you mean creating your own and having an affiliate program (which is slightly beyond the scope of the ebook), or do you mean selling someone elses ebook and becoming an affiliate.

Also, anyone whos looking at this, if you have any ideas, anything at all, please post it, all ideas are more than welcome.

Thanks

No problem...

1) Good programs would be the ones that pay out in specific cycles and that don't rip you off. I guess a bad program would be ones that let you do all the work, but they have a whole bunch of "hidden" rules on how much you can actually earn.

2) I guess a lot of people get into affiliate marketing trying to promote everything in sight. The conventional wisdom is to find a very specific (niche) type of product that can fit in with a website. My question is how to go about discovering your "niche"?

3) For ebook question...I guess I would be wondering for both. Primarily, many ebook authors salivate at the thought of having someone promote their products. The problem is that there is a such a huge amount of ebooks that it is hard to find the "right one" to promote. I was just wondering if people actually succeed promoting ebooks for other people...

Hope this clarifies my responses a little better...

Default thanks a lot

Hey thanks a lot.
That really helped.

I've decided that I will probably give it away for free and promte a product at the end of it as an affiliate and earn a commission.

I've got 12 other ideas for ebooks so far, so I will have to get cracking. What do you think.
Doyou think this is a good idea?
