The site home page has a PR of 5 and your own page will grow it's own PR.

Yes - BUT - Once you get down to the list of companies for a category page the PR is 2.

And once you get to your own individual page, the PR is 1.

I wouldn't pay a tenner for that...

The PR of an indivual page can be what you make it.

The value of the link in terms of PR is calculated from the PR of the page the link is on.

The links that are being sold are not featured on the homepage, which has a PR of 5, therefore that fact is totally useless!

What matters is the PR of the page. The PR is 2 for the pages these links are on, and so that is their value.
