Default ALT vs. TITLE attributes: how to correctly use them

There seems to be a lot of confusion about how to handle these two attributes. I found a nice article which exlains it perfectly, so here it is:

The Website itself is highly recommended:
http://www.456bereastreet.com/
as it deals with web standards, accessibility, and usability and uses a rather plain, understandable style to explain.

Have fun,
Alex
