Default Legend tag within a fieldset always necessary?
Hi everybody!

I have a question: Is the "Legend" tag necessary within a fieldset, if it
pertains to a single form with only a single textarea?

Default legend tag in a fieldset
This source has some more information for you concerning the use of a legend tag within a fieldset.

I don't think the legend tag is required for a fieldset but it makes it more user friendly to have a name for the fieldset. It might even make it more logical for the developer.

The W3C also has some info on the legend tag.
