Well, for two reasons:

(1) The reason the domain exists is for those folks that may take a guess at a website name rather than searching (I know I do that - kinda like the "i'm feeling lucky" button). They type in the name of the product, and hope that takes them to a site relevant to the product. I didn't want to automatically redirect them to my site without first telling them what they typed in was in fact a real site. Also, I don't want them to think that my site is the "corporate" or home office site (due to the domain name/product name similarity). I already get enough of those inquiries, and portraying oneself as the corporate site is against home office policy for understandable reasons. Why the home office didn't buy up all the domain names is unclear, but most of them are owned by distributors like myself.

(2) I don't know the "correct" way to redirect them.
