I am running a DTS package exporting a table into a notepad.The table has 6800 odd rows of data. Once the package is run (which is does successfully), the size of the text file created is 14 GB ,which is ridiculously high.If i query the table and copy paste the results into a txt file it comes to around 4.5 MB .Why is this anomaly occuring ? Any clues? .Also i am not able to open the txt file once its made as it says throws up an error message.I cant even check what the file has or whether it was compiled properly.All help and suggestions are welcome.
