:) Tough choice

I have had my site online for almost 7 years
I used wr2000 that during that time went to afhosting

STAY AWAY from them the reason being I found they were a wholesaler of hosting

So I would suggest staying away from wholesalers
although you can't without seeing their operation be fully sure if they are or not

As I did my research for looking I kept into the fact that I knew my bandwidth would be high
My space requirements were high

I also considered the service, one I preferred
going with a smaller hosting trying to build up a business because the service was more honest

There will always be problems with hosting,
Things happen

While your looking for the right fit/hosting company
ask about Bandwidth,
do you have a lot of graphics?

Whats their limit before extra charges get added on
Most companies will have loads of extra's in their packages

Always unless your not looking to use a lot of PHP r cgi scripts or whatever, go with dedicated IP hosting
Virtual hosting, will so up alot in your URL as

http://yourdomain.theirdomain.???

As the others said there are tons of hosting options

and as a last statement, I'll plug mine
http://www.redcheckhosting.com

I have been really happy with Scott and he has good prices and many options

But even saying that
Check http://hostreview.com/ they are a directory
of hosting companies, should help you as you do your homework

And as Cyanide said - I very much agree
Do the homework, think what you need now and what you may want later, and most certainly
leave the old site as you switch over
