I fail to see how someone who is asking for a recommendation for a service and then recommending my own is spam.

After thinking about this for a while, I realized that it really bothered me and I had trouble putting my finger on it.

The reason I finally realized is that I was accused of something I abhor. The person who started this thread had asked for a referral for a service and I noticed that there had been some referrals made.

In my opinion, I could not recommend a better service than my own. Now that may seemed biased but you had recommended a couple places in particular one recommendation that was glowing and personal this too is biased.

Now no ones recommendation is ever unbiased and mine was no different except for the one thing of it being my own service.

Spam (as you suggested I had done here) would have been placing an advertisement for my services where it was not asked for, this did not happen.

By your definition, anyone who recommends any service here would be spamming for there is no real way to know unless they say so if it is their own service or someone else’s and even if it is someone else’s it would still be spam. Therefore, it would not be possible to recommend anything since that would be spamming.
