Default What do you do to promote your site?

The Internet is so huge, only a few people do just trip over your site by accident. You got to lead them to you.

So what do you do to promote your business? Are you active in the car modification/tuner scene? Are you going to car shows and promote your product and web site? Are you going to rock concerts or night hang outs where potential buyers could be found and leave flyers on their wind shields? How about car clubs and their meetings?

Have you promoted via advertising on auto entuthiast sites, newsletter, press releases, etc.? Have you tried PPC advertising?

Have you done some off-line promoting? Can you compile a list of body shops that do car modifications? Have you snail-mailed them every month or so?

Sorry for so many questions. I guess anyone on this forum will be hard pressed to tell you how long it takes for your business to take off. Tell them what activity you consider and they can tell you more about the necessary investment in time, money and patients.

You site seems to do bare selling of the product with no sizzle. Did you try promotions, Sales prices for special items (on your home page !!!)? Can you tie in current events (races, championships, drivers, wins, ...) with your product to promote it. Can you make it a hub of good free information? What are the benfits of your products? I see only features on your site.

Have you tried raffles among people who signed up for your newsletter?

Don't forget to send out press releases about these events, before they happen. Did I say that already?

Good luck

P.S.: About some good sales tips go to www.usps.com/directmail and apply accordingly. Yes, the US postal service - who would have thought? You can also pick up some blue and orange flyers about direct mailing with good tips at any US post office.
