Hi Cornett,
Setting the
dpi to a higher resolution, eg 96 dpi, is not going to make any difference to the apparent quality of the image when viewed on screen. Dots per inch (dpi) only becomes a concern when you're using the images for print, in such cases you would want as high a resolution as possible, either 300 or 600dpi is often required.
