I think that
SEO work will always needed to be done. Basically, in
SEO, we optimize our sites so that SE bots can easily crawl our sites. If a site have browser compatibility issues, errors in coding, inaccurate titles and descriptions, then I guess that site cannot rank good in SERPs.
Other factors like Bounce Rate etc may come into consideration but
SEO work will always be needed to be done.
