Commission Junction has a problem tho. If you don't perform to their standards they will give you the boot. It seems to be arbitrary too.

Basically they base it on your sales volume. I was building a site and wanted to put a banner ad on it for a company from CJ. I created an account, joined the advertiser's program, put it on the site, and continued working on it. Before I could get the site live I was booted from CJ for having no sales. This was in less than a month. Many emails later (none of them answered) I just waited until the site was live and then created a new account and added the banner again.

Later somebody told me the trick is to find some stupid little program on there and perform the required action or purchase or whatever just to generate revenue on your account about once a month until you start actually getting clicks. So I went one step further and just sent out a mass email to my list for 1 I thought would do at least a few sales. I got like 8,000 clicks on the link but no sales. Do you think CJ cared that I had just sent them 8k visitors? Nope. It was BAD. They are telling marketers that they will maintain a high level of conversions. So my 8k visitors with no sales was a very very bad thing and so they booted me again.

I'm running out of email addresses to use. lol
