Some great advice here!

rcmedia, fellow canuck here and I just read your post and advice. I was wondering if you can PM me your IM (I can't PM you because I need to have made at least 10 posts). I have so many questions to ask and was hoping you can help out.

Here's a general one that I hope you can answer. How do taxes work for a travelling worker? Do you pay taxes for Canada? the country you're staying at, etc? What about health care? Do you get travel health insurance?

I also have a Euro passport + citizenship, I'm sure I can use that to my advantage some how.
What I do for taxes is... I have my own small 'sole propietership' with a business license from city hall that lists my Canadian address.
I've discussed this at length with my accountant and the easiest way is I have my clients send me paychecks to my home address in Canada and all I do is pay my regular Canadian taxes... now if you will be working away from Canada for say, longer than 3 months consecutive, you should read the travel reports for your destination country/countries because some of them do not allow you to be there longer than 3 months without a work permit.
This is especially true in most European countries.

Please contact me for specifics as it is too much to write here.
