Can anyone here recommend any free tutorials for starting out with pure CSS designs?

I've always wanted to go heavier on the CSS, but I'm a Photoshop designer/slicer/html programmer type, and I can't wrap my head around using style sheets to set up a page the way I want it to look...even though I logically know it has to be do-able, as no one else seems to have a problem with it.
