Lightbulb Re: Review bigtimewireless.com ecommerce electronics site

Personally, I think it's a bit much and not very User friendly. I am not an expert, but here are my thoughts:

I agree about the McAfee and BuySafe info at the top of the site where it's using some very important placement. That could be put on the shopping cart page, or at the bottom like the corner gif you have there that stays put. or on the footer.

Consider having links at the top of the site for Home, Best deals, etc. on the red bar you have at the top so they will stand out a bit more. I missed them completely until I looked at the site for the 4 time...

Also, my biggest peve is when I have to not only scroll down, but scroll side to side to see the entire site. I view at 800x600 so I can read it without my glasses. So you may want to re-visit the idea of using %'s instead of fixed widths. You can limit your widths with min and max in the CSS.

I don't know much about Java scripts, buy I thought the point of using style sheets is that you can put your JavaScripts on one and just reference it to load, decreasing the amount of coding your site has. *(if someone would like to educate me, then I will look forward to an answer in this post)

Loading is a bit slow, but then again I'm only on a 386upload DSL service. Hey, at least it's not dial up. :') Also, I too am using FF3 and the left column at the top, your search over laps the Wirefly box. If you add a style .clear make it a height of 1px and use it at the bottom of the Wirefly div, then it should fix this problem for you.

Moving your text info(We Specialize....) up would help in search terms since that is where all of your "content" is. You may also look into adding mouse over info with your images, or blind mode.

There seems to be an awful lot of white space at the bottom of the center column due to your left column extending further than the center and Right columns. Maybe putting some of those logo images on the footer would save you some vertical scrolling.

Instead of having the black links at the top, which do not link to anything, why not move them stacked in the right column and free up some space at the top of the site? They seem to me to go better with your "best Price Offer" and the "track fone offer" as well. It may also even up your columns a bit...

Ok, enough picking this to death. Bottom line is that it's a really nice site otherwise. If you are a newbe, then in my Opinion you're doing pretty darn well!

Cheers~!
