After redisigning a site that was 250+ for most keywords, it took about 20 days before we started to see any improvement. Now, 6 weeks after re-launch the site is first page for most product names and their manufacturer's on the site... and there's about 2700+ products.
Why? I cannot answer that without going completely numinous. I think
SEO is akin to Vodou, and I make sure to provide an offering of Energy Drink and Smokes to Papa Legba.
