How to Bypass BIOS Passwords

No guarantee though.

The easy way on a Pc years ago was to remove the battery for some minutes. On laptops it is more complicated. Technology that I do not fully understand is more complicated today. My questions:
  1. Is there other ways to store the password than by the battery? If not, removing the battery should be enough.
  2. A person I helped on phone did say that removing the battery was not enough to restore a laptop to factory setting. A Linux Cd had to be burned to find the Windows pasasword. I had no chance of controlling that. May be a misunderstanding of the internal system battery and the external power battery. Did I explain the difference? I don't remember. Probably yes, since I told that it is more difficult on a laptop than on a stationary Pc.
  3. A BIOS password is deeper. Can it be "burned" in some way?
Storing sensitive information on a computer where you can remove the battery to get the information. Is that secure?
