Noramlly it takes (took) 24 hours for dns servers to be effective. Aside from that, I think it is both theoretically and practically possible.

When I work on a site, I only allow my own Ip. I have seen Google index that site 5 minutes after I allow all, but then the DNS servers is already OK.
