These are certainly some great resources. Thanks for sharing Chris.

Based on your response, I think it's clear that your primary purpose with a press release is building PR for the client via the media. This is certainly the most important component of a press release, but if you're not submitting it via the online channels as well, you're really wasting opportunities IMHO.

Optimally, you'd want the best of both worlds... highest media coverage, maximum online distribution.
