An intriguing thought experiment called "Schrödinger's cat" suggests that a cat in an enclosed box is simultaneously alive and dead under experimental conditions involving quantum phenomena.

because that is assuming that personal perception overrides all actual physical phenomena..and to me that seems crazy.
Forget Schroedingers cat for a minute...if an old man dies in a bedsit without any relatives or visitors...does his time of death alter just because noone is actually aware that he is dead...I would say no...the lonley old guy dying alone in his bedsit is dead whether or not anyone sees it.
So its at that point...that I lose comprehension of what they are getting at.
