You've incorporated too many primary colours.

The characters are too crowded and lack proper kerning.

The "A" is spotty, likely due to improper compression while exporting as a .gif image.

Because the number one is higher than the rest of the text, users might tend to interpret it as "1-directory-A-Search.Org"

Across the entire site, your selection of colours does little to establish credibility or professionalism. It's just too loud.

For a directory of kid-specific websites, I suppose it'd be fitting. For anything else, not so much.
