We have a website with a domain we dont really like but it is one we took on advice about 4 years ago called www. body--jewelry .com (double dash) . We want to change to a new url that we have bought our website but we want to keep any links, age of this site and anything that the url currently has because of the age of the domain.

Is it possible to drop the old url and replace it with the new one and keep all the history of the old url to help in the serps?
