they really do exist. I believe most of the offspring are sterile and if it were to actually occur in the wild, the poor beast wouldn't survive very long because apparently the growth inhibitors don't get passed along (or something like that), so it just keeps growing and growing beyond its ability to hunt, which of course isn't a good thing.
