If the links the discussion is about were in your signature, I do not see any problem, since WPW also tolerates to a certain degree of affiliate links in signatures.
If the links were in posts and not off-topic including a context and not just a single link, I cannot see any link dropping issue when it comes to search engines guidelines.
If I miss something here, please clarify.

The mod.? in question seems to think if you post more than once in a thread that you are link dropping because of the links in your sig.
After his stupid comment he went to my forum and found a thread were I was talking about posting at WPW again to get traffic to a new site.
At that moment he started his attacks again and saying that the first attack was because of something that he did not know about at the time.
