Very many tools like phones (Skype) etc. will be reduced to internet software.
Have you noted Microsoft's latest tool,
Windows Live SkyDrive where you can store 5 Gb of files on the internet and have them for yourself, share them with friends and as a last option with the whole world. In my view this is the first step to bring "Windows" to the web.
