Default Re: Locating broken links in a site.

  1. That is a good, but not good enough tool.
  2. Some links that are reported as broken are not.
  3. There are problems with URL's that have changed. So you may not forget to inspect a broken link manually.
  4. When you link to a site link to http: // example dot com and not to http: // example dot com + whatever. That is not possible if you link to articles. Sometimes there are permanent versions of links like posts on WPW. Click permalink in the upper right corner of posts.
  5. If you link out. Some links may have changed to a spam site.
  6. Remember: Hypertext Style: Cool URIs don't change.
  7. Example: The website of the world's first-ever web server
