"Websites with a strong generic domain name which are reasonably well optimized, have a few links going to them, and contain a reasonable amount of content are almost guaranteed to appear on page 1 of Google searches for relevant search terms. And that, whether you agree or not, is a fact."
Kate you jumped from
"REGARDLESS of any other factors, including inbound links, meta descriptions, keywords etc"
to
" reasonably well optimized, have a few links going to them, and contain a reasonable amount of content are almost guaranteed to appear on page 1 "
Now you need to define
"Few links going to them"
'reasonable amount'
almost guaranteed
and a few other factors like the page name, and some other varibles.
Kate we have novice would be professionals reading these pages. I would hate for one of them to rush out and spend thousands on a domain name. . to later find that they could do better with a well optimised PAGE NAME.
I am gonna give you a negative rep point for that. I think your post was silly
