get one or two virtual private servers, cheaper than your own servers get a managed service so you don't have to be all technical like...
and ALWAYS keep backups...
another nice tip.. go to your registrar where your domain names were purchased, login and somewhere in there create your OWN nameservers... then all you do is point those to your host providers or data centers IP addresses... by doing that if they go down, you go to another provider buy a package and point from the registrar total time from time of deciding to move. maybe a couple hours.
