Yup, to make the logo more readable, I'd lose the apple and replace it with the "o" unless it's exclusively Mac software you're selling.
You'd be wise to check with the Apple trademark owner to see if they'd have an issue with it.
The person does look familiar (from a telephone company?). I hope for your sake it's original. If it's not, you could find yourself amidst a serious lawsuit and end up losing your shirt, pants, socks, car, house and anything else of value.
