I checked my statistics. 73% are upgraded to version 9. Of course I don't want to lose the other 27%, but that does show that your statement that "most do not have version 9" is wrong. Most do have it.

And BJ, Flash only doesn't autoload if you embed it using the embed tag, if you embed it using Java it loads fine. Apparently Java does have permission to display flash content and IE does not.
