Paypal really is the simplest. Do be aware though that there are some security issues with it. The biggest is that prices can be mysteriously changed. But with only ten items it would seem that your person would have a handle on that.
For entry level it can't be beat, then if it does well for them they can bump up to CubeCart or ZenCart at some future point in time.
