Just to clarify on only being able to complete one way links:

Some directories need to conform that you have their link on my site before adding mine. The facility to do this by checking a links page cannot be done as the blogger home page is not consider a link page even though the link is placed there.

Will try the HTML/Javascrpti suggestion but I remember doing this before without success. Will feedback when done.
