Default Re: Help! Audio Book Site redirects to Porn site

The result that is returned in position one: is this a legitimate URL from a publisher or other source that is redirecting for an unknown reason, or is it some unknown party that does this redirect?

Also, do you get an appropriate link showing on that first page to the correct content? If so, I might suggest a modified form of Googlebombing. Generate a press release about the issue, and make bloggers aware of the issue you have encountered. As you mentioned that this author writes faith oriented novels, church and CYO organizations might also be good starts. As they write about the issue to their blogs and web sites, and link to the proper URL in their articles, you could hopefully overpower any link juice that the objectionable site has and bump the correct URL to the top spot. It won't be instant, but it may be your fastest option.

Would it be possible to send me the search query you are using in PM? Depending on how the page was moved to the top result, it may be possible to find other ways to overpower that URL. Also, if certain redirects are in use it may be in violation of other Google rules: for example, if the site is using a redirect to bypass Google's safe search filters, this may be grounds for expedited removal. If by use of the name of a children's author they are attempting to target children with the content, there may be other issues as well that could be exploited to get the content dropped.
