saikatblogger , Google is always updating. In fact, the last blog post I made on my blog made it into the top 5 search results for many different related keywords...they're always updating the search results.
For link building, I would first get a Yahoo! directory listing. Then, try submitting to the major directories and write some articles. Get those articles into major online publications (even Web Pro News if it's appropriate) and don't worry about article "directories".
You might try going to reviewme.com and seeing if you can buy a few reviews from major bloggers in your niche topic.
I would also make sure you have a blog on the site or the ability to add articles...then use social media optimization to get those articles noticed.
