I personally don't click on ad words, but that's just me. In the scheme of things we on this forum respectfully represent just a tiny portion of opinion considering the scale of the web users around the world. Also, many of us strive to get web sites to the top of the organic search results through meticulous optimisation thus some here may not favour PPC ads.
Some of my clients use PPC campaigns and have increased traffic to their web sites which is a good thing in terms of the search engines. How much of those clicks convert to business I don't know. PPC has its place within the holistic approach to optimisation and marketing IMHO - its value is in the eye of the subscriber.
