I'm not sure if you saw on our website, but we actually have a marketing program to help our clients gain placement. I've actually written articles myself about how Amazon Associates can get out of the duplicate content situation as well.

The answer to your question though is that when the search engines see our sites, it's not seeing just data from amazon, but from youtube and other data sources. This makes the page different from a typical amazon page, that plus we've built in lots of search engine friendly enhancements like static looking urls, unique page titles, keywords and descriptions per page. Proper usage of H1 tags and more. Each page even comes with it's own rss feed. I don't want to spoil it, but we've built in plenty of goodies into the sites and continue to develop them on a regular basis (one-two new features per month). Something to consider is that our clients are not competing with Amazon, instead they are driving sales through Amazon's system.

I hope I was able to answer your question. I'd probably also say that when people get traffic and start seeing sales, they will have no reason to ever cancel, as the site will pay for itself. I'm not sure if you saw the video on the site, but I actually login to the Amazon account to show people that the sites really do earn money.
