I use an in sight engine that works using only a simple .xml file. It's called Coffe Cup Flash Search. You simply open the application on your desktop,,, point the wizard to the domain you wish to build a database for,,, and it creates a database for all the pages' content in an .xml file which you then just load onto your directory like any other page. Then by adding a small clip of code you can add the search engine box to any page on your site.

Works great.. couldn't be easier.
