I think in the worst case scenario you will get at least one backlink from Digg.
And this is also not so bad for
SEO, and
any backlink from authority site (and Digg is an authority)
is at least some extra boost to the value of your site in the eyes of search engines.
But, of course, one backlink is not enough to hit the top chart in search engine results.
