Great advice - since I run an article directory - I can tell you i'm amazed at how many don't follow simple things. However I always say to include at least one like with a keyword in it and one url - the reason is that when your article is distributed - of course the links should all be maintained... but we know that they aren't... so at least the urls will be present...
