If I duplicated a page from another site and my page was removed from G's index or tossed into Supplemental Results, I would call that a penalty. :o) Sometimes G screws up and doesn't correctly identify the original version. |
Still you cant call it a penalty when it is truly just filtering. Of course I see what you mean and this may be just semantics. It is really hard to find instances where the original doesn't rank over the copier. Usually scrappers cant compete with the original just because of the IBLs going to the 1st copy alone. If you're getting beat by a scrapper, simply get more authoritative links.
