Content, age and links
Tom,
essentially your site suffers from 3 problems that may well be reducing your visibility in Google.
1. The home page is effectively a static splash page with very little content. Other pages on the site appear to have relevant content. Move some of this to the home page.
2. The site is only 18 months old. You could possibly be sandboxed for the term "piling". This would be the normal case for single words that have any real value on Google Adwords. Just sit tight and get items 1 and 3 on track.
3. Inbound links. Google doesn't record any. The ones recorded on Yahoo seem distinctly off topic. Build some quality inbound links. If they're from relevant sites even reciprocals will be ok.
