It depends if there are links pointing to those domains or not. If so, there will be some
SEO benefit. If not, there will be no
SEO benefit. There may be some benefit from type in traffic ect.

You would make better use of your time to create sections on your main site and promote each section with the appropriate keywords. If they already own the secondary domains, 301 them and work on promoting your main site.
