Default Domain Name Held Hostage

Hi. I had the same situation happen to me a couple of years ago with a customer of mine. His domain was held by some fly-by-night company in Australia and we could not re-new the name. I tried everything. Then it dawned on me to follow the host "trail" and the actual domain holder was Network Solutions, and the domain register that my customer had used was a re-seller. I contacted NSI and explained the situation, and after following their verification procedure, I had the domain trasferred back to them.

In your case it appears that the "original" host is a company by the name of BulkRegister.com (877) 841-6827. They will probably want a statment that you have tried to renew the name, but have not been able to. Also, once you get the name transferred, you might want to re-transfer the name to a well know domain registrar. I also use GoDaddy (2 years now.

Good Luck.
